How can we best encourage our little ones without pushing too hard or hand holding too much? It's something I really struggle with and I feel like no matter what I do things are out of balance. Anyone else deal with these feelings? Maybe this is the "mom guilt" everyone has been talking about?

My family and I do not believe in any holidays and it makes it hard for us because schools are always celebrating all the holidays and we keep my son home on those days. I don't know how else to handle it.

My kiddo is 4 and everyday she comes home and tells me that her "bestfriend" tells her she can't do things. I am scared that this may be bullying. I have talked to the child's mom briefly but she shrugs it off and laughs, says "it's just kids being kids". What should I do?
