I've been working in childcare for over 10 years. I've always loved working with children and that's why I decided to pursue higher education in Psychology to focus on children's development. As an educator I always chose to work with children of all ages because I find it very important to educate and guide children to become better humans and adults in the future.
As a nanny and babysitter I always try to maintain a regular routine for children and include activities where they can have fun and learn at the same time. Childcare is not only about supervising, feeding, bathing and cleaning after the children but also about creating a bond with them to provide understanding and security. My major in Educational Psychology helped me understand that there are more details to take into account when working with children, like their emotions and feelings, personality type, development process and more. Responsibility, patience and consistency are very important traits that a childcare provider should have and I intend to work with these with every family I meet
