To whom it may concern,
I have babysat many times over the years for many families. When I was in high school I coached junior high sports and loved working with middle school age kids and learned a lot about patience with kids. I worked in an after school program during college with children aged preschool - 5th grade age and I had so much fun engaging with the younger children and talking to parents. I did a variety of things at after school program from homework time, arts & crafts, snack time, and PE/ gym time. In college I sought out studies in developmental and education psychology by volunteering to work in domestic violence shelters with young kids and that was a very special experience for me. In college I also was a freshman mentor for kids who transitioned fresh from high school to college and even though it was very different than working with younger kids it helped me to develop my skills for all age ranges. I also graduated from the University of Nebraska–Lincoln with a bachelors degree in psychology and minors in education/developmental studies. I think I would be a great fit for a nanny position because not only do I have experiences working with children of all ages but I also am a hard worker, honest and trust worthy, and have a strong focus to complete any tasks assigned to me.
