I have worked with children since I was 15 years old by starting out as a teacher's assistant at a before and after school program located in Marin County, CA. I recently finished my degree in Human Development and Family Studies at the University of Nevada Reno in December 2021. While there I was gifted the opportunity to work alongside many professionals during my practicum and also was chosen to fulfill my internship at Purple Door Preschool in Sparks, NV. My title at Purple Door was preschool teacher where I specialized in applying play-based strategies to provide diverse approaches to learning, maintained well-controlled classrooms by clearly outlining standards and reinforcing positive behaviors, observed children to identify individuals in need of additional support and develop strategies to improve assistance, promoted sensory development by providing access to different textures, and educated children in foundational concepts such as shapes, numbers, and letters. I love working with children and watching them grow in regards to their education, social, and personal growth. I am a caring and reliable individual with written and verbal communication skills and am a multitasking queen. I would love to be apart of your children's growth and help promote their vibrant personalities.
