Audra L.
Nanny in Arvada, CO
Hello! It’s so wonderful to meet you! I have been a nanny for newborns, infants, toddlers, since 2017!
BACKGROUND:
I’ve worked with children of all ages, from newborns to older kids, and I’m passionate about supporting families in a way that aligns with their values while bringing my own experience and care to the table.
WHAT IM LOOKING FOR:
I’m hoping to partner with a family who values open communication, collaboration, and mutual respect. Every child is unique, and every family has its own parenting philosophy. My goal is to work closely together to ensure that everyone—especially your little one—is thriving. It truly takes a village!
MY NANNY GOALS AND APPROACH:
• Child Development: I focus heavily on developmental milestones—tummy time, reading books, singing songs, and engaging in activities that support cognitive and fine motor skills.
• Consistency & Routine: I prioritize structure and routine throughout the day to provide a sense of stability.
• Multilingual Exposure: I’m currently relearning languages and am always open to learning and incorporating other languages in care.
• Safe Sleep Practices: I follow safe sleep guidelines and respect each family’s sleep philosophy.
• Healthy Eating Habits: I studied at culinary school before becoming a nanny and have experience making homemade baby purées (with parental approval and allergy consideration).
• Positive Parenting: I follow a gentle parenting approach—Montessori-inspired, attachment-based, and respectful. Rather than using “no,” I often ask, “Are we making good choices?” and I help children navigate big emotions by validating their feelings and offering solutions.
• Holistic Support: I handle baby laundry, bottle cleaning/sterilization, meal prep, and more to keep the household running smoothly.
Sample Reflection After a Tantrum:
“I know you’re upset because of [reason], and that’s okay. Let’s figure out a way to fix this together.”
This helps the child feel heard while teaching emotional regulation and problem-solving.
