Profile

I have a wide range of differing experience in childcare ranging from outdoor education to classroom development. I have spent most of my time caring for children ages 3-8 but I have some experiences with toddlers and older elementary students as well. I really love the Montessori teachings and the independent exploration they support. I am a huge advocate for sensory based tangible learning as well as fun outdoor experiences. I have education in developmental milestones and helping children grow at a healthy pace for their comforts. I am fond of educational field trips, for example going to the zoo or aquarium to learn about animals. I really enjoy cooking and have a lot of easy recipes that kiddos will enjoy. I don't mind helping around the house for busy parents, after all parenting in itself is a full time job! I am currently learning some sign and spanish and hope to continue learning and involving that skill in future positions.
