My lifelong dream was to be a stay-at-home mom. I got close when my daughter was born, but needed to care for other children to afford to stay home. I had achieved a degree in Early Childhood Education, and I began a certified daycare home which grew to a group home and operated for 20 years. I partnered with Head Start to provide preschool services for many years, and was accredited. During the pandemic I closed the daycare and began to nanny in 2021. I found out with the right family, I can become like a grandmother and friend, not just an employee. I love it! I also love animals, having had cats and dogs all my life. If I am caring for a child that naps, I enjoy doing laundry, floors and light housekeeping to allow the parents to concentrate on family time when they are not working.
