I babysat in my first couple of years in college and cared for a 4 and 6 year old. I myself am the daughter of a widowed mother, which meant that I grew up with babysitters as well. I know the importance and influence that babysitters can have on a child’s life and I have a respect for it. In my own growing up and babysitting experience, I believe that education at a young age is extremely important, so I would plan activities with the kids based off of learning. If we were to watch TV or movies, it was always Leap Frog’s Letter and Number Factory. I enjoy doing productive activities with kids such as painting, building with Legos, or going outside to play. I also consider myself to be very patient and enthusiastic in helping kids with homework/school work. I am always respectful of implementing routines and rules set in place by parents.
