When I was 14, I started work at a company called Active Play DC (ActiveplayLLC), which was a company that organized after school enrichment programs, and a summer camp, where I started out as a junior counselor. As the years progressed, I accepted more and more responsibilities until i was promoted several times, and the company expanded into a street hockey league and Nerf gun league, both in which I have worked with children from ages 4-14. I have a background in sports, and currently go to Berklee College of Music. I have experience running (sport oriented) birthday parties, and experience in youth conflict resolution. I have also worked at the National Presbyterian School in Washington D.C. as an after school teacher, and work well in professional environments. In terms of my style of youth interaction, I am generally laid back, but I will not let that compromise my drive for safety. I believe that working through issues is better than immediate discipline, but will not hesitate to put my foot down. All in all, I have had quite a bit of experience with children, and would love to take on some responsibility, as to ease the work of parents/guardians.
