With over 6 years of nannying and babysitting experience, I have gathered a large amount of knowledge in regards to keeping children safe, fulfilling their needs, and being a positive role model in their life. Additionally, I have volunteered in many school sites, where I was given the opportunity to interact with a diverse group of children, which allowed me to constantly remain empathetic, kind, and open minded. I also worked for the YMCA as a youth leader, where I was given a group of children everyday (usually 20 students) and I was given a teaching role which consisted of lesson planning, monitoring students, and providing them with any sort of support that they were in need of while under my care.
Additionally, I have also dedicated a lot of my time to nanny infants, ages 2 months and up.
While working for these families, I would prepare bottles, feed the child, do tummy time, play interactive toys with them, and put them to sleep. During my downtime, I would make sure to clean any common areas that I used while working, and therefore, would make sure to do light housekeeping while working. It was also extremely important for me to follow the schedule that had already been implemented for the child in hopes of them maintaining a consistent schedule.
