Anastasia S.
Hello! My name is Bailey and I recently graduated from Boston University in May 2023 with a degree in Psychology. I am high energy, have a dance and arts background (including comedy!) and genuinely enjoy working, playing, and creating with children. If you have seen nannies on the playground on their phones, that’s not me. I am the one playing in the dirt with them getting just as muddy as they are.
I have extensive nannying and babysitting experience with kids ranging in age from 3 months to 15 years old. For the past 5 years, I have been a part-time nanny for a family with 2 children (5 years apart, currently age 2 and age 7). I have worked directly with children through teaching/gymnastic classes and dance classes. In addition, I’ve worked with children with various medical needs (including feeding tubes and tracheotomies) and special needs (Autism Spectrum Disorder, Down Syndrome, ADHD, OCD, and Moebius Syndrome). Moebius syndrome is a disease that my younger sister has, in addition to executive functioning difficulties and mild Autism Spectrum Disorder. She had 18 surgeries before age 10 so I spent much of my childhood helping my parents care for her both in and out of the hospital. This has provided years of real-life experience and an overall understanding of how to adjust care to a child’s personal needs.
I find empathy and nurturing to be among my greatest strengths, approaching situations with patience and kindness. I am a very warm and loving person who genuinely enjoys helping others. I always approach things with compassion, patience, and a nonjudgmental attitude. Because of these qualities I am able to actively listen to children and try to see things from their point of view. It is truly beautiful to watch them discover the world and experience new things. I find such joy in playing with them, using our imaginations to create fun and enriching activities and games, and exploring different art projects. I am very creative and quick on my feet, which allows me to keep up with the energized and fast-paced nature of children.
Additionally, I am a very responsible and thoughtful person, conducting myself with dignity and respect both on and off the clock. I am a very punctual, organized, and reliable person. I also have healthy boundaries, am very communicative and open to feedback. I hope to be an addition to the family, fulfilling the roles they would like filled, meeting their needs and goals, and making sure everyone feels supported.
I am CPR/AED certified. I am a non-smoker and have all my vaccinations (including Covid and booster). I have a safe and reliable car, a 2022 Chevy equinox premier with all available safety add-ons.
I look forward to helping families meet their child-care needs!
