I have a passion for teaching and working with kids. I started working as a babysitter seven years ago, and have had the opportunity to build relationships working for some families for five years. Both of my parents are preschool teachers, so I have been exposed to childcare techniques for my entire life. I have worked for the past two summers in a Montessori style preschool classroom, giving me invaluable experience. This job was as a teacher working with children ages 15 months to 2.9 years old, under a lead teacher. My duties included guiding children with activities, changing diapers, encouraging verbal development, supervising social interaction inside the classroom and outside at recess, assisting the lead teacher, and encouraging autonomy. I also have experience working as a teacher one-on-one with a six month old child. I was responsible for preparing her food, changing her diaper, and working with her on activities in a classroom setting. Both of these positions were in a full-time capacity for the duration of the summer months. My experience and my passion for working with kids make me a great fit for any babysitting needs!
