Ive been a babysitter/nanny/childcare provider for 4+ years now . I have 3 young boys myself. I make sure all kids are well fed , bathed (if needed). I take at least 2 hrs after breakfast (depending on ages , kids can be restless) to focus on learning , I have my kids write their letters and numbers and I turn on Ms. Monica's Circle Time and have them watch it and ask them questions to make sure they are paying attention. Naps are very important to me when it comes to children , so I do have kids (my kids too) take naps right before lunch time (3-4pm). Unless the parent doesn't want their child to take naps its ok with me. After lunch time depending on the weather I let the kids go out to a nearby park , or play with toys or whatever they feel they need to do to have fun ! LOL. I know alot of kids are in school , or some parents have early shifts so after dinner (7-8pm) I bath all kids , give them one last drink before bed and I have all kids in bed by 9pm-9:30 . It works for my kids , I really recommend it to all parents. Fact: I am strict about drinking water . Juice is fine but I usually give kids juice during meals and if they ask for more I inform them that they will have to drink a cup of water before having more juice. I give 2 light snacks a day. I'm not strict , I'm very friendly, but I know how to be stern and discipline in a very kind way that kids will understand. Yelling and screaming does nothing but makes it worse. I tolerate crying lol . Ive babysat kids from ages NB-6 Yrs of age .
