I began my successful service to children in the Philadelphia Public School System many years ago teaching children who had normal intelligence, but consistently performed below normal. I also was in-service in the foster care system as a foster parent to eight (8) children. The experience was very rewarding and the girls that I took care of still call me Nana and call or come to visit.
