Hi! My name is Sydne and I am currently a preschool teacher looking to transition into nannying. I have been working in childcare for 5 years and have experience with ages 5 months to 6 years old. I have also been a long term part time nanny for a 2 and 5 year old and have experience with making meals for the children, tidying up, bath time, and bed time routine. I follow a conscious discipline approach (basically like gentle parenting) with children and find that it works better to get on their level and talk to them as whole people. I am also trained in reggio, RIE, and montessori models so I like seeing children as capable people and including them in choices that pertain to them. I am educated in Child Development so I am capable of creating a diverse and developmentally appropriate environment for children to play in and also learn from. I love caring for children and getting to be a part of their development has been such a pleasure for me because I get to see the amazing growth they make and get to be a part of it.
