I used To nanny for a family of 7 special needs adopted children. Most were on the autism spectrum. They also had a household of pets and I would not only take care of them but involve the children in helping to take care of them as well. When the kids were younger I would Assist with bath time and getting dressed for bed as they got older I would help get ready for school. I would Help with homework and make sure everyone got snacks if I was There Kate in the day I would make dinner and make sure they went to bed at appropriate times. I taught them how to take city busses and we would take walks down to the park on weekends or if everyone finished homework early enough to do so.
