I have always wanted to work with children in some capacity and earned the nickname “child magnet” as a teenager. I grew up in England and came to this country as a nanny when I was 22 yrs. I worked for three different families which children aged 1 -6 yes. For the next several years I taught acting/improv, and was hired as a substitute teacher working g with children from 4-14 yrs. For almost 30 years I worked in mental health, and for 3 years at a Special Education School in Keene. During this time I raised 3 children and home-schooled them for several of those years. I am currently caring for 10 month old twins 2 days a week and am looking for another part-time position. While I am of a “well seasoned” age, I am healthy, energetic and reliable. One of my favorite quotes is by George Bernard Shaw: “We don’t stop playing because we grow old, we grow old because we stop playing”
