I am a career nanny with 9 years experience in childcare (specializing in toddlers, but worked with ages newborn- 12 years), but never with one family. My experience ranges from working at the YMCA (1 year), to childcare with a school co-op group (2 years), as a nanny (3 years), and as a church nursery ready/ toddler class leader (2 years) and then I am a mother myself. My nannying positions were all temporary, as I was able to choose/ apply for positions through Care.com. I chose positions that provided flexibility and variety to my life and schedule.
I am very experienced with multiples and tend to have a more Montessori/ Waldorf style of teaching and learning for infants and toddlers. This includes lots of time outdoors, personal learning experiences such as trips to the zoo/ parks/ help with preparations of food/ raking leaves (obviously to jump in 🙂 ). Part of being a nanny I expect that I will be the one taking care of anything involving the littles (clean up, food prep, diaper changes, etc). I have also taken several classes in Childhood Education and Development.
I am a non smoker and fully vaccinated/ Covid conscious. I have a clean driving record and two great reliable vehicles (one Toyota Prius and one Toyota Highlander). I am CPR/ First Aide Certified.
