I am a child care professional because of my love for children. I want to do my best to support and guide young children to experience the best out of life. I believe every child has worth and needs every opportunity to learn and grow. Each child will have a safe, nurturing environment in which to spend their day. Activities are age and developmentally appropriate and will contribute to the child's groth and development as a foundation for continued learning. My program supports the concept that:-each child is a unique individual developing at his/her own rate.-parents are a child's first and most important teacher.-play is a child's work.-a group experience fosters independence, builds self-confidence, encourages problem solving and develops a self-identity outside the family.Everyday your child will bring something home with them. Somedays it will be in their Hands, Somedays it will be in their Heads, and Somedays it will be in their Hearts.I use Creative Curriculum for Family Child Care curriculum to plan for and support the early learning and development of children in our program. I also use an approved assessment tool to give parents an ongoing reflection on their child's development.My program is unique because I have a designated area of my home designed specifically for children to play and learn.
