Kidz Korner Childre is unique because we offer more than just learning. Our focus is on the development of the whole child, physical, social and emotional where their individual pace to learn and develop is encouraged in a safe, nurturing environment. We believe children learn best through hands-on experience, using age-appropriate materials combined with play-based activities using Creative Curriculum lesson plans. We are a place where children’s imagination and curiosity are valued.

My name is Keyla and I am a lifelong Santa Monica resident. I believe in giving back to the community in which I was raised and educated. Childcare education is my passion and I am so fortunate to have child care facilities in Santa Monica where I work with amazing staff and families as an entrepreneur.

I founded KCC in 1999. We offer care and educational opportunities for infants, toddlers and preschoolers. For the past 23 years we have had the privilege to work with great families.

My son’s time at Kidz Korner was amazing! Keyla and Anthony and Brittni have been so great and wonderful. We like it there because it is child-led play while still educational. The kids have the opportunity to go to the areas that suit them! Blocks, science, books, dress-up,...Read more etc. There are a variety of areas for the kids to play in depending on how they feel, but the teachers also have activities the kids can do (arts and crafts usually) and our son has come home with some pretty neat creations. They have new themes every month that they focus on (space, insects, colors, etc) and they plan activities and read books and learn about those themes. My son gets tons of outside play time which is so necessary for someone his age (3yrs- 5yrs(. They go to the park at least once a week and the library to check out books. The teachers send us photos every now and then so we can see what the kids are up to. We used to pick up my son early (around 3 pm) but after the first few weeks, he insisted on staying late because his favorite time is the after-nap playtime. Plus, in the summer they do “summer camp” which is the same as normal daycare except they try and go on a field trip every week! I feel so fortunate to have found Kidz Korner and so happy my son got to spend almost 2 years there.
