I do not have any hard credentials but I was left alone to take care of sibling for years. I really love being around and playing with kids because it makes me feel like a kid again. I start/break horses and one thing about young horses is that they are just like kids. My Philosophy is that if you treat them with respect, show them the way and aren’t afraid to get on their level and see from their perspective then they will do far more for you in return. I believe they are smarter than we often times give them credit for. While at the same time maintaining a level of respect from the child the same way you would a horse. You don’t have to beat one for them to respect you but at the same time there is nothing worse than a spoiled horse.
