I volunteered at the Chester, NY school district for many years while my children were growing up. (They are adults now.).

Some of the tasks included was:
I successfully helped students who couldn't focus or read, to focus and read.
For students' safety, I carefully monitored students on school trips off premises as a chaperone. During school book fairs, assisted young students to count their money.
I facilitated holiday parties. Participated with fund raising events for the school system. When special needs students' representatives needed an extra hand, assisted. When students were frustrated with directions for tests, assisted teachers to help frustrated students to understand directions. When students were frustrated with art projects, brainstormed with students to build a foundation.
Assisted in school office with paperwork as needed.
As a teenager I was a mother's helper, living in the country with childen's family during the summer.
I would be a camp counselor during the day (received wonderful feedback from campers' parents). After camp, would assisted parents as their built-in babysitter (as needed) when parents were both on or off grounds.
I was also a CIT (Counselor In Training) when I was young with positive feedback from camp Director and campers parents.
As a teenager I was highly recommended and babysat in my community.
As a teenager I also occasionally volunteered with the kindergarten in my neighborhood to assist local teachers on days we got out early.
My philosophy has always been, the youth of today is the future of America and the world. It's up to the adults to be good role models to make our world a better place.
I raised my children who were straight A students, emphasizing the importance of an education and good ethics. My son is an engineer and my daughter is a Director in the field of Social Work.
I am a Credentialed Alcohol and Substance Abuse Counselor.

I specialize in anger management skills, smoking cessation (what makes people addicted to smoking), facilitate groups and individual sessions regularly. Assist those with poor decision-making or have been through difficult life experinces on how one can get back on their feet again. I believe in inspiration and touch on spirituality, respecting all faiths.
My goal is to inspire people to be the best they can be.
