I am an experienced educator with a passion for facilitating growth for young children. My teaching experience began as a camp counselor and an afterschool care team member in 2005. I graduated from Grand Valley State University in 2012 with a Bachelor of Arts in English Secondary Education. After 3 years as a middle school teacher, I transitioned to lead preschool teacher while also enrolling in a Master of Education degree from Oakland University (to be completed in April of 2022).
My interest in transitioning out of the classroom is to provide greater care for the children I teach. I wish to deliver the nurturing and holistic care that I feel is inhibited by the current climate that schools and childcare facilities must navigate.
