Mrs. Alex’s Daycare
At Sweet Second Home Daycare, we believe that children grow, learn, and thrive by exploring the world around them. It is our goal to provide an environment that helps each child to feel confident and capable. In our program, children will feel empowered to follow their interests in a safe space. We follow a play-based philosophy. We believe that children learn social, cognitive, and emotional skills by exploring new experiences. We prepare our environment to be responsive to the children in our care and allow children’s interests to help facilitate their learning and engagement. We are an immersion program – daily care and activities will be provided in Spanish, and children will be encouraged to speak Spanish in return. Learning a second language at a young age helps your child's intellectual and social development.
My whole life, I've always landed an office or retail job, but I felt like my calling was to care for children. After having my daughter, it really opened my eyes and confirmed that this is what I wanted to do. Care for my own and others.
Our cozy home has ample space for the children to play. Inside our home, the children have access to many educational toys and a work table they can use to write or draw. We maintain a clean and organized environment to encourage the children to foster good behaviors and creativity while feeling a high sense of comfortability.
We live in a very family-friendly area. Our neighborhood is walking distance from a middle school and elementary school. And very near a park called Tupelo Park where we take field trips at least once a week. We are also close to the 80 Dwight D. Eisenhower Hwy for easy access. We have plenty of parking, enough to drop off and pick up.
