I worked 2 years as a teacher’s assistant in my final years of high school and 3 years in a before and after school program in my school district back in Houston. Started off as a program leader and then worked my way up to management of the program. Responsibilities included meal prep, prepping and presenting curriculum, supervision, behavioral assistance, and cleaning. I have a great connection with kids because I like to listen and understand about what they have to say, allowing me to get to know them and bond with them. It helps with behavior too because I know why they did what they did and I have a way to fix it.
