I’m 20 with 4 siblings. I’m the oldest of my siblings and have cared for all of them for a good portion of my life. I’ve helped after school with chores, helping them with homework, etc. This is only bc our parents worked a lot. My grandparents were there to help as well and my grandparents taught me everything I know today.
Additionally, I worked at a company called Perspectives corporation which helps adults who are fully on the autism spectrum gain healthy habits in life. Our job as direct care specialists, we did a lot of one on one care being personal hygiene, cleaning their rooms, preparing food, transportation, etc. This job taught me every challenge can be overcome.
