Kindehafti A.
Hi! My name is Rachel and I am interested in being considered for the childcare position. I currently have open availability for occasional, recurring, and date night caregiving. My extensive experience caring for and working with children began when I was 14 years old. I have cared for children of all ages, multiple child households, twins, pets, children with physical, behavioral, medical challenges, and other special needs.
I am a native to Columbia, but moved to NYC after college to pursue a career in musical theatre. Through the years, I continued to work with children between theatre jobs as a babysitter, nanny, mentor, tutor, chaperone, cheerleader, chauffeur, teacher, family representative, and even co-worker!
My background in musical theatre has helped me to become a better caregiver. I am creative, friendly, warm, honest, trustworthy, reliable, loyal; I am loving, comforting, supportive, adventurous, serious yet silly, fun yet firm, cooky yet calm; I love to sing, dance, play games, read books, play in creeks, canoe and kayak, arts and crafts, trips to playgrounds, museums, parks, and other fun adventures.
I truly believe that I have a duty and responsibility to help guide children onto a path that allows them to grow, learn, and become positive, active members of society. Life can seem scary and uncertain, but I always try to provide an environment in which children can feel safe, protected, and hopeful. I have shoulders to lean on, ears in which to confide, and an accepting, forgiving, non-judgemental, and loving heart.
