Hello! My name is Joel and I’m 19. I have 4 siblings , 2 brothers ( one younger and then me) and an older sister. Growing up together we learned how to take care of ourselves and each other while my parents were out the house. At 19, I’ve had a decent amount of experience babysitting and caring for kids. Some of experiences I have of taking care of children is my months as a youth group leader. In these youth groups, as many as 15 to 20 toddlers or kids would be assigned to 2-3 group leaders. We would take care of the group, giving them snacks and some play time while also teaching them about Jesus. Overall, I think this would be a great opportunity for me to grow my skills while also providing flexibility to the parents that need it.
