Samareha B.
I have always been the kid that would bring home stray animals, and eventually stray friends. I had a unique elementary school that was entirely special needs. Half of the school was GATE, while the other half were IDD. There I learned compassion and a love for being of service.
Later in life I ventured into behavioral health services, caregiving, care management, and IDD services. Now I’d like a change. I miss the sense of belonging after divorce, then empty nesting. I’d love to begin caring for children again! I miss those belly laughs!!!
1 year as a group home for pregnant women and women with small children, which I’d watch the infants often.
18 plus years of being a mother of a special needs child (TBI & Autism)
10 years, from newborn and up, experience of caring for twins while my sister ran errands, was ill, out of town, or when she just needed a break.
I babysat a lot when I was younger, including raising my sisters, watching friends’ and family’s children.
De-Escalation experience as well as experience in caring for IDD minors and adults. Certified in medication administration, CPR/AED/First-Aid certified for children, infants, and adults.
