I've been babysitting since very young, and it has turned into a passion. I feel the magic I once felt when I was a kid and had a babysitter, and I try to recreate that experience of fun while really tuning and listening in to the kids. I've been a Christian camp counselor for 8 years and a mentor and teacher to many, helping kids understand themselves as well as woodworking, sports, writing, etc. Every year since 2019 I've been working a youth summer surf camp that last 3 weeks and I can PROMISE you that there is nothing more rewarding than having a kid who doubted himself turn around at the end of their first wave with a big smile on their face and hands swinging in the air. I believe my biggest strength is my compassion and patience, due to not "fitting in" when I was young paired with a turbulent family life, I found refuge and a sound mind in the love of God. When I reflect on my feelings of doubt, nervousness, and all that comes with growing up that I experienced in my past, it reminds me that kids and people still experience this today, it breaks my heart, which is why I'm willing to give the extra effort to care for people because that was done for me.
To wrap things up, I grew up a family man with all of our other families that live in Florida.
Also, I've studied abroad in Spain twice for 6 months each time and also in Argentina which really taught me diversity and people skills beyond imaginable, where I worked in a language school giving lessons to kids including administrative and marketing work.
