I know there is a lot of controversy when it comes to breastfeeding in public. I really don’t care at this point. If my son is hungry, I’m going to feed him. The looks and judgement I keep getting from people are starting to get on my nerves though. Can someone explain just what is so wrong with it?

Nothing is wrong with it. People who say it’s not okay are being sexist. Everyone has had a mom, and the majority of us were breastfed. It’s hateful to say it’s not okay for moms to feed their babies. That’s all that they are doing. People don’t seem to have a problem with cleavage until it’s not sexualized anymore and we’re using our breasts to feed our children. The disgusting thing is how rude people are about it, not breastfeeding itself. 0 LikesAngelica posted July 10, 2019
I don’t get why anyone would want to breastfeed in public. It should be private between you and your child. They can get distracted when you’re feeding them, too, and being in public just adds to the amount of distractions. I wouldn’t want random people watching me breastfeed, even if I wore a cover. Never understood why moms feel the need to be so public about it. 0 LikesMaggie posted July 14, 2019
Yes, completely normal, if a child is hungry you feed him/her. Others can look the other way. 0 LikesLeah posted July 16, 2019
As adults, when our bodies let us know it's time to eat, we eat. It's no different for children. Breastfeeding is so amazing and offers so many benefits for babies. I breastfed outside of the home often as I was always on the go with my little one. I always had super cute covers that allowed me to privately breastfeed my baby. I was also selective of where I breastfed him for my own comfort level because even with the cover up, some people would stare. We shouldn't be made to feel uncomfortable while properly caring for our babies. 1 Like
