Growing up I’ve been surrounded with the responsibilities to take care of younger kids. My parents wouldn’t be at home much, so I had the responsibility to take care of my little brother since the age of 4. I’ve fed him, changed him and helped him grow mentally and emotionally strong. Throughout my academic years I’ve been fond of working with kids mentally and socially. I’ve looked into after school programs in which I would go an tutor kids school wise but also create a special bond with them in which I helped them with personal issues as well. Being in college, I’ve selected the major of social psychology due to the fact that I want to be a therapist later in my life. Helping kids from a young age has helped me realize the benefits to helping our younger generation in many ways.
