Hi, I’m Em Hammans!

I have over seven years of experience as a nanny, and I’m passionate about creating a nurturing and inspiring environment where children can learn, grow, and thrive. My background as a violin teacher since 2014, combined with my four years working at Bluestem Montessori Elementary School, has given me a unique skill set to support children of all ages and abilities.

I’m inspired by teaching philosophies like those of Dr. Suzuki and Maria Montessori, which emphasize that every child has the potential to succeed when given the right encouragement and opportunities. I strive to foster curiosity, confidence, and creativity in everything I do, whether it’s through music, imaginative play, or helping children develop important life skills.

In addition to my experience as a music teacher, I have a strong foundation in Montessori education, supported by professional training and hands-on experience. I’m also deeply committed to tailoring my approach to meet the individual needs of each child. I have a passion for working with neurodivergent children and love finding creative, out-of-the-box ways to help them feel comfortable and confident in their environment.

I bring patience, creativity, and warmth to my role as a caregiver, always aiming to support a child’s growth and happiness. I’d love the opportunity to bring my unique blend of skills and experiences to your family!
