Barny Family Day Care
Daycare in Fall River, MA
The Queen’s Loft is a small-group, after-school Creative Quest studio for K–5. Kids rotate through high-energy, hands-on stations—fairytale attire & character play, faux glass art painting, Mini-Bakery Jr. Chef (no-cook), and music & movement—so it feels more FUN than traditional STEAM while still building real skills (teamwork, confidence, fine motor, planning/cleanup).
Families register once, then schedule drop-in as needed (space permitting). Sessions run 2–3 hours between 3:00–8:00 PM (Mon–Fri) with occasional Saturdays by request. We are allergy-aware (labels on site) and use simple, no-cook food activities. Small ratios, clear routines, and a warm, encouraging vibe.
I’m Ms. Michelle Mello Gomes, owner/operator of The Queen’s Loft Youth Care Program and The Kingdom Express traveling enrichment. I’ve spent years leading arts, cooking, and movement experiences for school-age children and hosting creative family events. My approach blends choice-based creativity with practical habits—handwashing, safe tool use, cleanup roles, and kind communication—so kids feel successful and proud of what they create. I partner closely with families and schools and keep programming aligned to Massachusetts after-school best practices.
The Program is set up like a mini studio: a bright art/makers table, a tidy Create-&-Bake prep area for no-cook recipes, a movement/music zone, and a cozy corner for cool-down. We keep supplies organized, surfaces easy to sanitize, and post a simple picture schedule so kids always know what’s next. Transportation is available by request with written parent authorization; rides are in a registered/insured vehicle with proper child restraints per Massachusetts law and clear pickup/drop-off procedures. The goal is a safe, cheerful, well-run space where children can move, make, and shine.
