Hello we are Nurture and Grow Childcare a licensed childcare across the street from Explorer West Middle School in West Seattle/ White Center area. We have 3 amazing full time teachers. We provide healthy nutritious, meals and snacks. Although we have a focus on social emotional and play based learning we still offer an exciting research based curriculum. We were so fortunate to find Annie and gain a spot in her daycare when our son was just 3 months old. Our son has thrived in her care, as her play-based, positive approach has been ideal for him. Our son often asks if it is a "school day" or a "home day", and his face lights up...Read more when he hears that it is a school day. He loves to see his friends, and do art projects and the toys are much, much better there. Additionally, the outdoor space provides chances for him to explore safely and expend his energy. Annie has also been a trusted partner as we navigate each new stage with him, from providing guidance and support when we introduced solid foods to leading potty training and navigating nap schedules. In addition to regular, daily communications, we have quarterly check-ins to discuss any challenges or opportunities for further enrichment. We are confident that when the time comes, he will be fully prepared for kindergarten. He has also learned sharing, empathy, and manners in a way that is only possible by consistently being in a group setting. Having one classroom with kids of all ages provides a unique experience for all the kids, including opportunities to help and be a leader. We are so thankful that our son has had Annie's care throughout his life and cannot recommend her daycare highly enough.
