I am retired and enjoy children I currently volunteer for Camp Wapiyapi a free summer camp for kids with cancer and am on the board of directors for The Listen Foundation for hearing impaired children. I raised two daughters and during my work career worked for the Walt Disney Company as a manager for Radio Disney. I believe kids should be encouraged to be creative and enjoy activities and outings. The reason I am interested is I miss having kids around and want to earn some fun money in my retirement. I am not looking for a full-time position more like a fill in or casual sitter but would help out if there is a dire need. I am active and love softball, skiing, hiking, and swimming all of which I have been an instructor for in my youth.
Our youngest daughter had severe learning disabilities. I am used to working with children that have ADD, Dyslexia, short-term memory, and other issues. For parents who may be dealing with these learning differences, she is now 28 and successful. Don't give up!
