Hi! my name is Kaitlyn! i am a single mom of a 3.5 year old little girl, and a 21 month old little boy! before becoming a mother myself, i have had PLENTY of experience working with children. I grew up in my great grandmas daycare, and once i became old enough i began helping her with the younger children. at age 12, i started babysitting for family members and friends. At age 13I became a nanny for my cousin, taking care of her 4 children and her nephew everyday of the summer, starting at 6 am and ending around 4 pm. once i became old enough to work legally, i still babysat whenever my job would allow me. in school, i passed with high grades in classes such as child development, parenting, and any family related subjects. at 17, i babysat my kid’s dads little sisters; ages 1 month-5 years old basically everyday. after having my daughter at 18, i decided to go and work on the psychiatric ward, working mainly with the adolescents; ages ranging from 4 years old to 18 years old, with many different behavioral, emotional, mental, and social challenges. since december of 2021 though, i have been a stay at home mom. my son has a congenital kidney disease, as well as some mental, physical, and speech delays so my days are spent “gentle parenting”, teaching, and learning different behaviors of children, mainly those with special needs. i have a VERY high patience level, i do not believe in raising my voice at children, and think there’s always something to learn!
