Babysitter in Millinocket, ME
I've taken care of the mentally disabled on and off for about six years and before that worked as a babysitter and housesitter in my teens a 20s. I let my nursing assistant license lapse but it is in good standing. I have excellent credit and clean criminal background and can pass a drug screen. I'm cheerful and reliable and like to drive to Bangor to do my shopping so driving to Bangor for at least a six-hour shift works out fine for me. I've worked as a ghost writer for an educator, am great at crafts, kids like me, and I'm an expert swimmer although I do not have any lifeguard certifications. My father was a Naval officer and taught me combat swimming and lifesaving people in distress. I have a keen sixth sense and several ESL certifications. I mostly write and trade and renovate my home, and I'm vaccinated and tend to isolate a great deal. Finally, I'm super responsible and a great problem solver and excellent at handling all kinds of surprises. I'm not a park the kids in front of the TV person at all, I did not grown up watching television so that's not how I handle babysitting. We will be more educationally active and I also will make kid friendly healthy food and whatever else you want done. Superb at laundry, not a fantastic folder -- I've never worked in apparel retail -- but I make nice stacks. Finally, I have a pleasant professional appearance and look like a hip young grandmother who dresses like a lady and wears pearls and clogs. Good at all kinds of games including make your own.
I am not on social media and I will sign a NDA.
received CNA certification in NY in May 2014, worked as LNA in NH for about 18 months for Ascentria. Classroom teaching experience, memory unit experience, designed reading and writing hack I sold to six International schools, worked for two very particular families in Woodstock NY more recently including sitting for four childen three of whom were under age four. Love pets. Excellent cook. Will leave things tidy. Have some games and child DVDs. Also some project type props, $1-$5, we can do as an activity. Paint a birdhouse, assemble a balsa wood plane, make felt animals. all cool stuff.
I can teach reading, the alphabet, math, writing, and art, and I'm a third-generation Ivy League graduate who has mostly been self-employed. I bring good props and have a lot of energy, and am a fourth-generation Christian Scientist (not eager to reach for medication or discuss illness or injury as a means of getting attention) but I have read a great deal of medicine and attended several cooking schools. I have a detailed education content resume I can send and I've volunteered in an a Chinese orphanage.
