I've been involved with childcare for much of my life, but after the pandemic it became a more common part in my routine. I started babysitting for family members when schedules got tough. I was a live-in nanny for my sister for 6 months on two separate occasions. This was my full-time job during that period, then in 2022 I started lifeguarding over the summer. This is where I received my CPR/AED certifications and water safety training. In my time as a lifeguard, I did swim lessons for children and spent many hours monitoring and ensuring safety at the pool. I've now been a lifeguard for 3 years and renew my certifications every other year! In January of 2024 I started nannying for a family, this position included some light housekeeping duties. I mostly would care for their youngest but occasionally would watch all 5 of their children. I love to take kiddos to do fun activities, like story time at the library, going to the park, checking out the science center! Babysitting is fun, and provides unique experience as well! Someday I would love to have my own children or adopt, but while I'm young, I enjoy being able to help out others and care for their children!
