My nanny career has shown me that striving to continually grow, learn, and be better are essential. Learning to be a positive role model in and out of work is important to me. I enjoy spending time with my dogs, friends & family. listen to audiobooks/podcasts, take scene study sessions and attend my church. I would love to travel and volunteer more.
My nanny career took off in college where I was a pre-med Biology major/ Theater minor. I wanted to gain experience with kids since I wanted to become a pediatrician but fell in love with the work. I started as a corps member for a literacy program thru Jumpstart working with preschool kids. From then worked with families privately ranging from 3 months of age to 12 years of age. I love to try to teach Spanish as that is a second language I speak fluently. I love to opt out for outdoor and creative, imaginative play. Going on walks with the dogs, make art with pinecones from our walk, create new games, or baking activities. It is neat to see kids want to be involved in the ways breakfast is made. I love to teach kids the importance for independence and encourage them to try things out on their own but know that I am right there as well to help and guide when needed. I would love to take charge but also make sure to run things by the parents and that we are all on the same page.
