I believe that I would be a good fit for this position, not only because I have years of experience working with kids of all ages, but also because of my knowledge and understanding of creating a safe, and thriving environment that allows kids to learn how to express their emotions, thoughts, and needs healthily. I value teaching kids to be both adventurous, but also kind, and considerate to others, and the space around them. I try and open up a space for kids to voice their questions, and opinions, in a non-judgmental and discussion-based environment. I also value safety, and of course appropriate consequences to action-based punishment, for example; a kid throws toys everywhere as a way to express their anger, I would first talk to them so that I can understand what was going through their head, and help them communicate their needs to me, because a lot of kids "bad" actions, are just them trying to get their needs meet. Then I would explain, what they did wrong, and what they can do instead, then I'd have them clean up the mess. On top of trying to create a safe growing space, I would also stay in communication with the parents, and help them reach the goals they want for their kids. I'm a flexible, knowledgeable, and joyful person, who strives to be a positive influence to everyone I come across.
