Ashley H.
Hi! My name is Courtney. I am the oldest of four girls and I grew up in Fruit Cove, FL. I have always been a nurturer.
In grade school I was a youth teacher's aide, peer counselor, and tutor. As an adult I've had amazing opportunities working with students at the Florida School for the Deaf and Blind and with students of varying types of disabilities in both inclusive and self-contained classrooms in the Jacksonville area.
I worked as a private teacher/nanny for a wonderful family in the Jacksonville area for several years. When they moved out of state, I was fortunate enough to find another family who I was with for around 4 years.
Currently I am teaching in the mornings at an academic half-day private preschool. I am looking for work in the afternoons/early evenings.
I love doing so many activities with children! I can't imagine not spending my day with kids. I love being silly with them, but also know how to make sure that the fun we're having is safe and responsible.
I love watching children learn and grow as individuals. Being a part of that and knowing I make a difference in the lives of the children I care for brings me so much happiness and tells me I am in the profession I was meant to be in.
I am excited to start my next chapter with a new family!
