My name is, Atarah. I'm 30-years-old and a mother to an 8-year-old boy.
I am very hands-on and like to do activities to enrich children's minds. I do like to do outings every now and then as I feel it develops social skills and positive behavior outside of the home.
Don't get me wrong some moments are just following around like a shadow, but that aligns with the Montessori approach I tend to lean towards. I find creating a safe space to develop internal confidence and personal imagination creates positive behavior and self regulation as they grow. But engaging with the child is just as important! We're teaching littles to bond.
A little about me: I am the oldest of 8 siblings. My youngest brother is 17 years younger than me. I have been a professional nanny for 8 years. When I had my son I realized my love for children was greater than I had thought. Which led me into the career choice. I spend my free time reading, paddle boarding, dancing (I teach 6 months out of the year, but work it around my work schedule.), hiking, foraging, and playing video games.
