I have a son who is 2 years of age. I am a family advocate at a headstart in Chelsea. I had to grow up a little older than many children and raise 3 of my youngest sisters. I have been able to do internships at certain daycares. I have taken a few early childhood development courses. Currently working at a headstart has giving me many resources that I am able to even use on my own son. I have gained knowledge and insight on what it takes to care for a child between the ages of 3-5. I have the experience with my youngest for infants. I am also a very resourceful person. I am able to find support in mental health, housing, finances, going back to school, positive parenting techniques for parents, etc.
