Whitney F.
I am a settled, but fun-loving and middle-aged mother; who has raised three children of my own. I am a reliable, well-rounded, patient, and hard-working individual; who is
also thoughtful, courteous, and respectful. My background in caregiving in general, began in my pre-teen years. From that time to the present; I have taken care of everyone from my great-grandmother, my disabled cousin, the children in the community, the individuals I service at the residential home I currently work at, and more recently, both of my ailing parents. What makes me a great caregiver is; that I take that position very seriously. I treat people not only as I would want someone to care for one of my own family members; but also, in the same manner in which I myself would want to be treated, if I were in need of care.
By working in a residential home, I have received training and certification in First Aid and CPR; as well as, medication management, Crisis Intervention, in Cultural sensitivity, and in several other safety related courses, to include those dealing with Covid-19.
I have a diploma from Hampton High School, One year of Business Education from Hampton University; In the past I was trained as both an armed and unarmed security officer; with special training from the Citizens Police Academy in Newport News, and I have a Doctorate degree in Ministry.
