Paityn L.
My background includes working with children in both academic and home settings. I worked as an elementary substitute teacher for Clark County School District in early childhood through fifth grade levels, in both general and special education classes. I assisted in classroom management, instruction, grading, and assessing, while building relationships with students and their families. Most importantly, I worked to support students’ physical, cognitive, and social development in a safe environment.
Also, I provided at-home childcare for many years. I have enjoyed watching each individual child grow and discover the world around them. We played hands-on activities, sang songs, and completed arts and crafts projects together. In the recent years, for example, I babysat a four-year-old girl named Elizabeth. We established a routine, so she knew what was expected of her and the rules to follow. She went from being shy to a confident and curious little girl.
Given my diverse skills, I believe that I will prove an asset to your team. I am known for my organizational skills, being a team player, and my ability to multi-task in a busy environment. My goal is to make children feel safe and cared for while they learn and grow, while also providing support to their families.
