I started doing in-home child care for my brother and my sister-in-law because two other kids have disabilities one has Asperger's. The other has diabetes and was diagnosed at the age of three and so I had to take classes on how to take care of him and know what to watch for those type of things. And then I started working and daycares from the time I was 16 to mid twenties I also did some in-home care for a family from the daycare that I was working at that shut down for a while and I worked at a lady that had her own at home daycare and I was pretty much her assistant did most of the teaching with the children taking care of them and then after that I kind of want to see what else was out there for me and worked in a nursing home for a couple years and my mom got sick so I did her in home health care for her and then I just kind of did some other jobs after that that didn't relate to any of that I worked at a pet food assembly factory where we package cat food and dog food I worked there for 5 years and decided after being there that long that I want to see if I could find something that was more a fit for me I loved it and I enjoyed the job but it's just not what I wanted to see myself ending up doing the rest of my life that makes sense and then I ended up working at Burger King for a year was a manager the whole time and fast food is not really my thing but I'm good at it I'm good with working with people in general I think I was just in a toxic environment there with the people that I worked with and so now I'm looking for something more that is my comfort zone and something I know I am good with and good at and love doing. I have two children of my own and it is way more than just a job to me working with children it's very passionate to me and something I sincerely enjoy doing.
