I am a very patient person, my brother is special needs and has autism. Growing up I had to babysit him since I was 12 years old and I developed so much patience for kids while learning from him. I learned how to get him to feel more comfortable and to be more open. Being in my child education classes also helped me with furthering my development with caring for children. Along with the class there was also a daycare in there, where we as students would interact with the children daily. I grew close with them and developed a bond with these children and learned all about their interests. Babysitting my mom's friend's children also helped me a great deal with my babysitting skills. Overall I love children, and I actually hope to become a pediatric nurse within my future, that is what I will be going to college for. My biggest concern is making sure your children feel comfortable and safe within my care.
