Hello! My name is Haelen Mendoza and I have been working as a Kindergarten teacher aide since November 2021 for Roscoe Wilson Elementary School. I also have experience with taking care of children ages 6 months to 3 years because I was a lab student for one year at the Child Development Research Center at Texas Tech. I currently have my Associates in Arts in Teaching degree from South Plains College. I have transferred to Texas Tech University and have one year attending there, but will be taking this year off and will go back to school the fall of 2024. With my education and employment, I have been able to develop skills like being fluent in English and Spanish, experience working with children from ages 6 months to 7 years old, able to organize and keep a clean space, punctual, good at time management, able to commute, reliable/dependable, ability to learn and pick up on things quickly, ability to easily adapt to any setting, ability to work under pressure, able to work independently or as a team, patient, able to help with homework or help study, able to communicate well with adults and children, and good with kids!
