Hello there, I'm Maija! I currently only have a permit so until I am able to drive, I can only babysit for families in the Westwood neighborhood.
I recently graduated from Kalamazoo Central and will be starting college this fall for early childhood education. I love working with children, I have been looking after my cousins since I was around the age of 10 but have been babysitting since the age of 13. I am looking for babysitting or light nannying jobs for up until I leave for college, I am also interested in doing some babysitting over college breaks. I love to do arts and crafts. I try to incorporate learning into play if I am able. I am red cross babysitting certified which includes cpr and first aid.
My rate starts at $12 an hour for one child
Things I am comfortable with:
- Pets such as Dogs, Fish, Most Reptiles, Small animals
- Cooking or preparing simple meals
- Helping with and laundry or dishes
- Homework help
- School pickups, I live down the street from King Westwood and would be more than willing to pick up kids and walk them home after school.
- Helping with bedtime, I have many times put kids to bed if the parents requested it. I am okay with helping brush teeth and hair and reminding kids to shower along with helping with pajamas. I am not comfortable being directly in charge of doing baths unless it is a baby or toddler who needs one, I know kids have accidents so in that case I am willing to give a bath if needed.
Things I am not able to do at the moment:
- Cloth Diapers, I haven't had experience with them so at this time I'm not comfortable changing any cloth diapers.
- Being around cats or preparing food with peanuts as I am allergic to both of those things
- Caring for children with complex needs. I haven't had the proper training for caring with children who require things such as feeding tubes or insulin injections/corrections.
- Working past sunset as I currently cannot drive so walking is my only option at the moment.

Charming Child Care is available in Gardena, CA. Freeway accessible (91,110, and 405) Our hours are 7AM-5:30PM and extended hours are offered upon availability. We have programs for children ages 2 and up.
Meals, snacks, and outdoor play is provided.

Hello! I have one spot opening mid June for an infant under 24 months for daytime schedule M-Sat!
I also have 2 spots open for ages 2-4 for daytime schedule M-Sat.
I am located in Woodland Hills, CA, open 24/7 and I accept CCRC (open to additional subsidy programs as well)

Hello I have four spots available for childcare in Des Moines Drake 50312 area. We provide educational activities, home-cooked, meals and potty training. I accept all subsidized programs and offer affordable rates. I am licensed and also I am CPR and first aid certified.
Hours of operation are 24. Hours Monday
through Sunday
